{"id":6328635,"date":"2020-11-16T08:45:03","date_gmt":"2020-11-16T00:45:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.graduateschoiceaward.com\/sg\/?p=6328635"},"modified":"2021-07-05T21:58:37","modified_gmt":"2021-07-05T13:58:37","slug":"talentbank-salary-bonus-top-priority-in-job-search","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.graduateschoiceaward.com\/sg\/talentbank-salary-bonus-top-priority-in-job-search\/","title":{"rendered":"[Bernama] Talentbank: Salary, bonus top priority in job search"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 15 &nbsp;\u2013&nbsp;A recent survey by graduate recruitment company, Talentbank, found that male and female undergraduates prioritise salary and bonus in their search for the ideal employer.<\/p>\n<p>These were among their&nbsp;top five priorities&nbsp;besides career development opportunities, good bosses and leaders, learning and development opportunities, good company culture and flexible working hours, said Talentbank founder, Ben Ho, in a statement today.<\/p>\n<p>He said that most of the respondents expected a starting salary of RM2,500 &#8211; RM3,500 in their first job and a monthly internship allowance of RM1,000.<\/p>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12 col-md-12 col-lg-12 mt-4 px-sm-0 px-md-5 px-lg-15 text-dark text-justify\">\n<p>&#8220;However, male respondents chose career development as a second priority, while female respondents wanted good bosses and leaders,&#8221; Ho said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12 col-md-12 col-lg-12 mt-4 px-sm-0 px-md-5 px-lg-15 text-dark text-justify\">\n<div id=\"bernama_mb_mid1\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p>Over 24,000 Malaysian public and private university undergraduates&nbsp;took the survey held in parallel with the 3rd Annual Graduates&#8217; Choice Awards (GCA) where they voted for the \u2018Top 10 Most Attractive Graduate Employers To Work For in 2021\u201d, which were Maybank, Google, Microsoft Malaysia, Petroliam Nasional Bhd, Shopee Malaysia, Intel Malaysia, CIMB, Shell Malaysia, Celcom Axiata Bhd and PwC Malaysia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>They&nbsp;chose from among 700 companies across 35 industries over a 12-month period from Sept 1, 2019 to Aug 31, 2020.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12 col-md-12 col-lg-12 mt-4 px-sm-0 px-md-5 px-lg-15 text-dark text-justify\">\n<p>Ho said that besides recognising the commitment made by employers, the prestigious awards also act as a reference for fresh graduates to help them distinguish employers of great distinction in their respective industries when they apply for a job.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12 col-md-12 col-lg-12 mt-4 px-sm-0 px-md-5 px-lg-15 text-dark text-justify\">\n<div id=\"bernama_mb_mid2\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p>&#8220;The importance of a great employer brand image cannot be underestimated.
