For Employers in the Running

Fair play, for everyone.

How employers in the running may invite students to take part, and what is never acceptable. Every student decides for themselves, and every vote is checked.

A

Dos and Don'ts

The Graduates' Choice Award is decided by students alone. These guidelines apply to every employer in the running.

Do

  • 1Invite students and followers to take part, in your own words, using the official write-ups, QR code and posters.
  • 2Say plainly that voting is free, takes about 3 minutes and that every student decides for themselves.
  • 3Share only the official link, graduateschoiceaward.com/vote, or the official QR code.
  • 4Let students vote for any employer they choose, including your competitors.
  • 5Use the official GCA materials unchanged, and keep them clear of any other message.

Don't

  • 1Ask, pressure or require students, staff or interns to vote for your organisation.
  • 2Offer prizes, payments, discounts, goods or favours in return for votes.
  • 3Vote on behalf of others, buy or sell votes, or use bots, scripts or fake identities.
  • 4Collect vote confirmations, screenshots or personal details, or check how anyone voted.
  • 5Claim or imply a ranking, win or endorsement before the results are published, or alter the Seal, trophy or logo.

Every vote is verified by email and audited by universities. Duplicate, coordinated and automated votes are filtered out before any result is published.
